Ryan Hanley was delighted to attend the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (ACEI) Awards on Friday last, where we accepted an award for our project Coolatee Integrated Constructed Wetland. The project won best project in the ‘Sustainability Natural Environment’ category.
This project, delivered by our wastewater team, involved the construction of an Integrated Constructed Wetland (ICW) in the village of Coolatee in Donegal. This nature-based solution provides wastewater treatment for the village with no power supply requirement, with a minimal carbon footprint and with significant increases in biodiversity.
Ryan Hanley services on this award-winning project included design, optioneering, planning, environmental, land acquisition support, procurement and construction management. We are proud to have worked work on this award-winning project for Uisce Éireann Irish Water.
